With the arrival of Kid Dracula for Famicom. My Castlevania collection is now as complete as I want it to be. With one version of each North American console release, plus a handful of important Japanese titles! I don't think I'm going to go for variants. And I don't care about the old computer games. It's just too much money to toss at it. Plus I'm happy with the look and size of it at the moment.

Maybe one day I'll be able to add the arcade boards to it. But for the time being, I am all set on old releases that I want and can just pick up new games as they come out. There has to be a line drawn somewhere, and this is it. ha

Ya, its funny. You think of a series of games and then once you get them all next to each other, you realize just how many there are.

So...what's your total count (games only)?

How many/are there any that you didn't get and/or import?

My total count of Castlevania games? Or total collection count?

My total # of games for Castlevania is 49, including loose carts, my CIB copies and variants. I count 27 physical releases, and there a couple mobile phone/iOS games. As well as a few arcade games. And there are 2 new games coming this year, one for 3DS and one multiplatform for 360 and PS3.

I'll have to get back to you on what my total # of games in my whole game collection is.

I'm not sure what your second question is? There are a few old computer versions of Castlevania for Amiga and I think C64 and Tandy? But I'm not interested in finding them. I would like to eventually get a copy of Vampire Killer for MSX, but only if it was a good deal and CIB.

EDIT: I have 844 games in my full game collection.

Nah, I was just asking about your Castlevania games (and Castlevania-related) items...like:

_____ Castlevania games,

_____ Castlevania OST's,

_____ Castlevania art books, promos, swag, etc (and, I was even kinda' curious about the "break-down" of the games; as in)...

_____ Castlevania games on ___ platform A, ___ on platform B, ___ on platform C, etc.

Oh yeah - my 2nd question was asking if you now own *every* Castlevania game *OR* if there might have been some foreign releases/import only ones that you might not have bothered with/worried about.

Ah. kk. I'll see if I can break it down. ha

I'd say I own a version of every Castlevania game. There are some variants, ports and multiplatform releases that I'm not going to worry about.

How do you like/would you describe the Castlevania series' (music) & OST's?

I've really only ever heard some songs from SotN...

It's generally sort-of moody orchestral sort of stuff, but exceptions abound. If you've really only heard a little of the Symphony of the Night soundtrack I strongly recommend listening to -

Dracula X Chronicles
Portrait of Ruin
Castlevania 64
Lament of Innocence
and the arrange album "Dracula New Classic"

Let me know what you think!
