NESI looking for garage sales last week and followed a sign and saw a lady setting up for a garage sale in her garage. I stopped and I find out the lady wasn't having a sale til next week. I ask if she had any thing video game she was planning to sell and she tells me she had an Atari 2600 and a NES she was thinking of selling. I tried to get her to bring them out that day but she wouldn't.
So I took notice of the address and come back the next week first thing. I get there and see a table full of newer video games, XB360, Wii, Wii U and they where all scrap titles at $5-10 a piece. (nothing I wanted or needed) I ask about the Atari and NES and she tells me she only found the NES and hasn't put it out yet.
She pulls out a small box with a NES and about nine games. I ask a price and she tells me her husband looked up Ebay and wants $80 for the system alone or $120 for everything.
I ask about the games and she says $5 each except for the Mario games she wanted $10, (there was three copies of Mario 3 for some reason). I grab two and paid her the $10 and was happy with that.
- Duck Tales
- Jurassic Park
I left behind, Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt, Super Mario 3 (x3), Tetris, Excitebike and Micky Mousecapade.
There still are not a lot of garage sales in my area, but still finding a few decent finds worth going out and hunting.
