The Game Awards 2024

Don't care about the awards, but there's usually good game announcements.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound - Strong start with this, classic pixel art styled sidescrolling hack and slash from the team behind Blasphemous.
Dave the Diver: In The Jungle - Expansion? Sequel? Not sure exactly, but more Dave the Diver is cool, I really enjoyed it.
Thick As Thieves - From Warren Specter, a multiplayer thievery game where I think you compete to steal an item while dealing with other thieves.
Shadow Labryinth - Oh god, they turned that super weird Secret Level episode of Pac-Man into a dark metroidvania.  So dumb lol The game could be fine, but what a weird thing to do.
Witcher 4 - I just hope this game has really overhauled combat, I wanted to like Witcher 3, there's a lot of good there, but the combat was not particularly well done.
Elden Ring: Nightreign - Some sort of...Elden Ring multiplayer game coming out next year.  I had an inkling it could be due to the encroaching BR-styled circle they showed, but it looks like it's built around a co-op experience rather than I think a PVP setup, fighting enemies and bosses together, even including previous bosses from other games as they showed the Nameless King from DS3.  I'm kinda done with Elden Ring after not really liking the DLC, but curious to see what this is.  Never cared about the multiplayer before in their games, but could be kinda interesting.  This is also a standalone game, it's not an expansion or update.

Game from the creator of ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian.  Going for a scifi vibe instead of the usual fantasy setup, involves something with large machines of some sort. No name yet.

The Outer Worlds 2 - I really hope this game is a huge leap forward from the first game, the characters and such were good, but I thought the gear, looting, and exploration was lacking compared to something like Fallout.  Out next year.
Split Fiction - New co-op game from It Takes Two devs.  Idea is a scifi VR experience jumping around futuristic and fantasy settings.
Steel Hunters - Peoples spirits are put into giant mechs to battle.  From the Wargaming team, PvPvE game with 5 teams of 2.  I'm mildly interested.  I almost thought this was another mech shooter game I played a test for earlier, but I think that was a little more...anime-esque I think.  I can't remember the name of that one now.
Borderlands 4 - Not sure if I'm interested in this or not, but I'll keep an eye out, they kinda need to do a lot to get me excited again.
Tekken 8 - Clive from Final Fantasy 16 is a new character, which isn't surprising since Noctis was Tekken 7.  They gotta do Tifa one of these days lol
Mecha Break - This was the game I was thinking of before that I play tested lol It was kinda fun, but I'm a little more interested in Steel Hunters over this as while I love anime mecha, I also like abit more rough and tumble mecha designs.  Spring 2025.
Virtua Fighter - New VF game, special presentation tonight for it in a couple hours.
Project Century - Seems like a Yakuza styled action, set in 1915 Japan, very interested in that setting.
Turok Origins - Co-op third person shooter.
Helldivers 2 - Finally getting the new aliens faction that I think have been teased for awhile.  New update out now.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword - 2026 release

This Berserker Kazahn trailer has weirdly great visuals and action, but terrible audio design lol

Stage Fright - 2 player co-op from Overcooked devs.
Game of Thrones: Kingroad - Action adventure game out in 2025.
Double Dragon: Revive - Oct 23 2025 release
Screamer- Racing game of some sort.  Odd mixture of CG visuals with almost anime or at least cartoon characters for the trailer, but I'm somewhat interested in new arcade racing games.
Den of Wolves - Cyberpunk Payday pretty much.
Sonic Racing: Crossworlds - If this is more of a return to the Sonic All-Stars Racing games, I'm super on board with that.

I liked dave the diver.  A lake/swamp setting with alligators and frogs ect. Would be cool. (Guessing thats what jungle would entail)
