I tried to play it a couple years ago and I was horrible at it and I didn't enjoy it, but that's just me. I also have never liked playing with lego so I wasn't too surprised that I didn't like it.

So after going through Half-Life 2 on PC to get all the achievements I didn't get the first time around (the 360 achievements were added in a patch a few years ago), and only missing two, I decided to play through Half-Life 2 Episode One. I'm trying to get "The One Free Bullet", and it's really hard relying on Alyx to take out most of the enemies. Thank $deity she appears to have an infinite life gauge.

I recently rented the new Splatterhouse from Blockbuster and I'm actually really enjoying it.  While it's far from perfect, with awful load times and some really frustrating platforming sections, I really admire the love that went into making the game fun for long time Splatterhouse fans.  The voice acting is also fantastic and the writing is crude, but well-done.  It also comes with unlockable Splatterhouse 1-3, which are a little pricey to collect.

I'll definitely pick it up someday when I find a good deal on it.

w00! Someone else who played the new Splatterhouse! Love that game. The combat is brutal but actually fun and can't be won by simple button-mashing, I love the voice acting (especially the Mask... voiced by Jim Cummings... he voiced so much stuff you're bound to have heard him at some point) and the fact that this one actually develops the story and characters further than the original games is fantastic. It does have flaws but frankly I think the overall fun factor more than makes up for it. The only really big problem is the loading times, and that can be countered by not dying :P

As for finding a good deal, I think it's already pretty easy to find for 10-15$. I personally bought it late last year for about 20$ new.

Got the 3DS version of Tales of the Abyss from Gamefly and was surprised that there is some 3D in it.  I thought I'd read some player reviews that mentioned that the 3DS version didn't have 3D, thus no need for it to be on the 3DS.

If anything, I think maybe some voiceovers were added and some taken out of the original?  I'll have to pop in my PS2 version sometime and see how it compares.

Only a few minutes in, but so far it looks good.

I spent part of today playing Costume Quest. I love Tim Schafer games, and I picked up Once Upon A Monster this weekend just because he and DoubleFine had a hand in it ($15 at Best Buy!)...but I've been too lazy to move my Kinect or my 360 so they are both in the same room, so I haven't tried it yet.

However, the acquisition of a new Tim Schafer game made me consider the couple that I've never played, and I got Costume Quest in the last Steam sale. I can't say I'm surprised at how enjoyable it was, as it IS Tim Schafer, but man, I had a good time with it. I've still got the DLC part to go through (it was all included on the Steam sale) but the main story was downright adorable and quirky fun.

Now I just need to get Trenched (a.k.a. Iron Brigade) and play through that, wrap up the DLC from Stacking and Costume Quest, finish Brutal Legend, and actually play Once Upon A Monster, and I'll have played all of every game he's ever worked on. I also should see about getting an actual copy of Grim Fandango and Full Throttle (and Trenched) so I can say I own all his games as well...

I still haven't played Grim Fandango and feel like I'm missing out on a key adventure game.  Have played the Broken Sword games and Longest Journey, so I'm not completely out of the loop, but Grim Fandango seems like a must.  Is the best way to go about it through eBay for a copy or is there a better way somewhere?  I guess it's the whole LucasArts not making things easy for us...

If you want to play it, there are ways of acquiring it, but I can't say that I OWN it...

However, if you just want to see the fantastic dialog without the hassle of trying to get it to work on a modern machine (It didn't use the same engine as the other LucasArts games so it's not SCUMMVM friendly), there's a full play through on Youtube. The last time I wanted to play it, I just made a playlist of all those videos in order and wired my laptop to my TV, so I could watch it like a movie.

Also, I can now say I've completed every bit of Costume Quest. Even got all the Steam achievements. I think I'll wrap up Stacking tonight too.  :P

Started playing NFS: Underground on the PS2 again. Picked it up a few weeks back since I am working on rebuying all the PS2 games I had traded off over the years. Felt the need for some racing and OutRun Arcade wasn't cutting it. So I popped this baby in the PS3 and boy am I glad I did. I forgot how much I enjoyed this NFS.
