This came in the mail recently, and despite starting FFVI, I've been eagerly awaiting this one and put FFVI aside for now. Legend of Legaia was one of my all-time favorite RPGs:

It's not a direct sequel to Legend of Legaia, which is a bit disappointing. And there are no more Seru or Ra-Seru. Instead there is a race of magic users called Mystics and these powerful mystical stones.

Regardless of the changes I'm still really enjoying it. It keeps the awesome battle system of the original game, and a lot of the same art sensibilities. But with an all-new story, all-new characters, and a shiny coat of PS2 graphics.

Finished up Mirror of Fate and now its back to Etrian Odyssey 1. I'm only on the 4th floor... but now I've got a spot I can return to for easy healing. So I might hangout here for awhile just grinding levels.

Of course the only time I get to play it seems to be just before bed. So I only get maybe 30-45 mins in a night. :(
Now Playing: Persona 5 Scramble, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8

Sakura Wars is really fun. I had it for the Wii before I trimmed my collection.

it's odd because it was a game I thought that I would play for an hour or 2, go "yeah this is fun" and not pick it up again for a long time. there's no level grinding in it, instead it's based on your relationships with the other characters, so stronger bonds = better characters. This game is definitely a hidden gem on the Wii.

I'm playing Don't Starve. The devs have been updating the beta a bit and I finally sat down to play the current one. My last few games ended like so:

Made it a week. Grew a beard. Craved bacon so I tried to kill a pig man. Pig man killed me.
Made it ten days. Grew a beard. Starved to death.
Made it fourteen days. Finally got the hang of how to build stuff... and then I got murdered by twenty angry bees that chased me around for three minutes. >_>

What is this you speak of?  I'm interested.

Don't Starve, the latest game by Klei Entertainment. They developed both Shank games and Mark of the Ninja. This is -far- from being an action game, it's more of a survival thing. You're dumped on some sort of an island by a ... demon? and you have to survive by foraging, hunting, and building stuff. For example, you pick up twigs and a piece of flint, and you can build an axe. or a pick if you use two flints. You can use that to chop down trees or mine down rocks. Pick up grass and you can build a fire, and so on and so on. The better you do, the more unlock points you get. There are various characters, each one with their own pros and cons.

It... kinda plays like The Legend of Zelda. Kinda. Unfortunately there is no demo but there's loads of videos on youtube, unfortunately they kinda spoil what may happen to you. But it's fun.

And you will die, a lot. :D

I have been intrigued by Don't Starve for awhile but I don't think I would really enjoy having to find the materials to make each item.
