hm, when i click on that link it says your profile is private.  maybe that's what's keeping foxhack from seeing it? unless you two are already friendsies.

Ah, that's it! Just changed the setting from "friends only" to public. Thanks! I didn't even know there were such settings, derp  ::)

Your inventory says it's empty. :(

That's funny, I see the items  :o I guess it has to do with the link being mine while I'm logged in or something... Maybe with http://steamcommunity.com/id/tsukinoneko/inventory/  ? I still see it without the number at the end, so that might be the issue.

I don't have any modern sports games, PS3 NBA Jam and Wii Sports aside. However, I do have a soft spot for old NES sports titles... Blades of Steel and Tennis are two that come to mind. I was also a pretty big fan of dedicated LCD sports games as a kid. (And oh how I wanted that Konami TMNT Basketball game...!)

It's true about the million copies of Madden '9x or whatever collecting dust in resale shops. They're always priced so high! Just clear those guys out -- 99 cents a pop -- and be done with it, right? ;)

Totally agree on that, I don't really like the modern sports games, but I love a lot of older ones! On the NES, I played Golf, Baseball, Soccer and such a LOT when I was younger. I even liked M.U.S.C.L.E, though I know I'm part of the minority there  :P Sports games are to me pretty much the same as "movie" or "cartoon" games. Back in the days, they were often great, but nowadays whenever I see a movie game my first thought it that it's probably awful. :( Though I worked as a game tester for Activision the last 2 summers, and I was proven right once and wrong once, so I guess I have to be more open-minded on those  ;D

I like a small dose of sports games. They are just modern pong. And to be honest, I really like pong. Tennis games are pong completely. Hockey is just slightly more complicated pong. And football is just slightly more complicated pong. Baseball feels like a strategy game of sorts to me. I like pong and I like strategy. I just don't need 15 versions of it every year.

I really like virtua tennis. I like most of the 2k series from the early to mid 2000s. And I currently own ncaa football 11 and nhl 12. To be honest, I was shocked by how much I actually enjoyed them. NBA Jam was a favorite to rent when I was a kid.

Wow, the comparison you just did amazes me. I never saw those games that way, but now that you mention it, I wonder how I never saw it. There seems to be enough of a difference to be annoying though, because I love pong and dislike a lot of modern sports games, so I'll have to investigate further! :P

I hate that those super awesome sales are always USA only :'( Both games aren't even listed on bestbuy.ca, what the hell  :o

I really want to contribute, but I'm a little low on budget for the moment, and I'm not home for a month so I can't really search through my stuff for anything right now anyway  :-\ . I will eventually, though! I really like the idea of this thread  :)

For now all I can offer is via steam: Day of Defeat: Source, which I had a double, and old Team Fortress 2 items. I don't think I have anything extraordinary, but they're mostly vintage since I played a long time ago (and I believe the "vintage" items have more value for some reason). If you wanna see my inventory, it's right here: http://steamcommunity.com/id/tsukinoneko/inventory/#440

I also have keys for Lume, Soulcaster and Soulcaster II for Desura, as I bought an Indie Royale bundle a while ago and I don't use Desura.

Gamecube box+manual for Twilight Princess. I spent forever looking for disk only and got lucky and found one stuck in a bunch of DVDs at a pawn store for $2 so Im giving away my previous box and manual.

If you still have the Twilight Princess manual, I have a collector friend who is missing it since a while and would absolutely love to finally have it! I don't need the box though, so you can keep it for someone else if you like.

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: NEW Duplicate Listing Thread

I'm really sorry for this, I just created a duplicate.

http://vgcollect.com/item/36763

I didn't think of the damn ":" before after I submitted it. It's listed differently between the SNES and Sega Genesis version, what's the standard for this?  When is the ":" required? That way I'll know how to research better and not make other useless dupes  :-\

Is there a way to see how it would look like, even a general idea? I got to admit that I'm pretty picky, so even if the idea sounds cool, I wonder how cool it would actually look  :o

Thanks for the info! I might get over my hatred for them and just walk in the store to at least take a look.  :P

i got 50 dollars and shit tons of food ;D

Damn I love food. That's awesome and I want a drooling smiley now  :P

My wife got me a ton of stuff for Christmas.  She gave my mother-in-law some great pointers, too. Here's some highlights.

You can't know how jelly I am of that Zelda Game and Watch. Damn, those are all great gifts!

My own Christmas was pretty gaming-related this year, as I got a PSP, Kirby 64, Zelda: Yume o Miru Shima, a n64 gameshark (to play japanese n64 games!), Adventure Island II, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, a pre-order of the Twilight Symphony CD (http://twilight-symphony.com/), some awesome Sonic pajama pants and gaming posters. I was also surprised with 2 starter decks of Lord of the Rings TCG cards, which are so damn impossible to find nowadays!

For gifts I gave, my brother got a red Wii motion plus remote, which he wanted for quite a while now (before finding it on Kijiji, I actually didn't even know that Nintendo sold them separately from the red console bundle). I also found a cheap Super Smash Bros 64 for my cousin, and an Android humidifer for my dad because Android is awesome :P

Ive seen her at Best Buy, Toys R Us, Walmart, Gamestop multiple times. For the week or so after Giants released, Flashwing and Sprocket were a bit tougher to find than Pop Fizz, Chill, or any of the other first releases. But now, I see everything on the shelf thats out but Hot Head (Which I do see seldomly as well).

Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep my eyes peeled then. On my way to edit my old post, too. And I just found a glow in the dark Sonic Boom at Walmart, at least, so I didn't come back totally empty-handed for once  ;D

To stay on topic, there's also http://dawnofthefirstday.info/ which counts to the apocalypse in the Majora's Mask style :)

On the side-topic, since I have the collector's edition on gamecube, they'd have to add something new for me to buy Majora's Mask on the 3DS, Like with Ocarina of Time. I bought it because it includes Master Quest and because I could get a free soundtrack with it.  :P

Flashwing is pretty common around here on the shelves. If you want me to get one, let me know. :)

Seriously? In what kinds of stores? I've never seen her yet in Canada, I think it was a Toys'r Us exclusive in the beginning and then it kind of went missing or something.

Really cool thread idea! For my part, the hamtaro games on gameboy color/advance (Ham-hams Unite! and Ham-ham Heartbreak) are, of course, for children...but I ended up having so much fun playing them. Might just be some guilty pleasure though  :P

Godzilla on good old gameboy was great, too. I first thought it would be another boring movie-style game, but the kind of puzzle-like gameplay is fun. I seem to be in a minority by thinking so, though.
