The Northman - Overall a reasonable film, though I wouldn't say it did a ton to impress or standout personally.  Not that it's bad, but it's a pretty basic revenge movie and while it has some interesting imagery, it doesn't really do much to elevate beyond other stuff I've seen.  It's a bit darker and grungier than say the Vikings tv show, but that isn't something that makes for a more exciting or interesting story.  I can also see why it didn't do great in theater, because it's not as action heavy as I feel the trailer tries to make it out to be, most of the action kinda happens towards the beginning and end, so there's kinda long, slower, middle section that I feel like isn't good for a theater experience.

If I had to rate it, it would be like a B, it's not a bad film at all, nothing I could say that's negative about it, I just wasn't super drawn into it.

Dr. Strange and The Multiverse of Madness - Awesome movie, possibly my favorite of this phase.  No Way Home was that before, and I do enjoy that film, the love for all eras of the Spider-Man movies makes for a great time, but Strange stands out because of how trippy, creepy, and violent it is.  I had heard some folks didn't like it because of what they did and I can sorta understand that, but I loved it for that reason.  It's dark and Raimi's style is all over this in the best way and probably the darkest of the MCU films for sure.  Very happy with it.

Bosch Season 7 - I honestly don't know why I finished the whole series for this, kinda just casually binged a season off and on over the past year or two, but I don't know, it's just kind of a chill cop drama, it has its moments, but it never often gets too crazy or over the top.  It's nothing great, but it was okay.  I think I had the same issue with some previous seasons, but the side story stuff that isn't focused on Bosch, are really kinda holding back things abit, it's rarely that interesting to warrant cutting away too.  Like this isn't The Wire where you are going from intense cop stuff to intense criminal stuff.  I guess it sorta shows the breadth of happenings in a department, from the poltically infused top, to the interpersonal actions of the station, but I kinda started to hit a point where I was skipping past some of it.

Don't know if I'll watch the new show, maybe I will down the road, this show kinda became my "I need something casual to watch, even though I have a bunch of other stuff to watch, but I'm not really in the mood to watch that, so I'll just watch this straight forward cop drama." lol

The Bad Guys - Real energetic, very fun animation, had a good time with it.  Gives me similar vibes that Turning Red with its animation style, lots of anime influence, tons of Lupin the 3rd in this one.  The only thing that bugged me, and it's weird to complain about "the world" of a cartoon like this, but I found it odd that there's not a single other animal character in the film, aside from the main cast.  There's actual guinea pigs, non-anthro, but they are just normal animals.  Every other character seen in the film is human.  It doesn't hurt the movie at all, it's just some odd thing I noticed as it went along lol Still a great watch though.

Had a great time with the story mode, it's a real fun game.

16 - TMNT: Shredder's Revenge (PC 2022) - BEAT - Just what I wanted from this game.  Great nods to the old show, top notch gameplay, great visuals, it's pretty fun stuff.  I haven't done absolutely everything yet, you can level each character, so that's a completion thing, and each character has their own ending panel from the story, which is more along with some basic achievements.  There's an arcade mode, multiplayer, it's a dang good time.  Hopefully it does well enough for them to add DLC characters or skins for characters or really just about everything as I'll take it lol

Finally getting around to watching Demon Slayer again, I went through the Mugen Train arc and thought it was fairly solid, Rengoku being just an absolute top tier lad in it.  Kinda reminds me of fiery sword wielding All Might.  Of course Ufotable bringing their just absolutely incredible fight scene moments.  Thankfully Zenitsu is practically non-existent in this arc.  Hate him with a passion lol

All of the Resident Evil Village DLC is nice especially adding third person but I was kinda hoping they'd just make RE:Verse free to play without owning the main game. Mercenaries mode looks decent.

I think they guaranteed a swift death for RE:Verse just like Resistance died a swift death bundled with RE3.  Maybe they can't since they sold it with RE8, but most people didn't like the game to begin with and seeing that it looked mostly the same from the quick bit they showed, very few people are going to end up playing it.  I'll probably check it out at release then likely never play it again.

I am 100% on board with this RE8 DLC.  I wish there were more Mercenaries content, but some story with Rose revisiting areas could be interesting.  And then third person mode will be awesome for replay value.  And Re:Verse exists...I guess...Bit bummed that Shadows of Rose is third person only, it's a weird decision for a game that was made to be first person.

Well unfortunately, I only got RE8 info out of this, which was thankfully what I wanted to see for sure here, which is something at least.

I went to check that out then learned the PS4 version was cancelled. Weird because when announcing they demo I'm pretty sure they said PlayStation and didn't specify just 5.

I wonder if it was easier for them to just focus on modern hardware, which takes the number of systems they have to make it for down to three instead of 5.  I know that kind of stuff can become a big problem for devs, though I don't think this couldn't run on Xbox One and PS4, it's not a graphically crazy game, but who knows.  A bummer if you are unable to play it.

This wasn't a game revealed at the recent shows, but a demo went out for Metal: Hellsinger and it's awesome.  Doom, but a rhythm game is sick.  I'm a sucker if you do anything that leans hard into a heavy metal vibe, Brutal Legend is one of my favorite games, so the idea that you'll do more damage if you do everything in time to the beat of the metal song and that the higher your fury meter builds, the more of the metal song you get, culminating in the vocals coming in, with some great singers like Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy, Mat Heavy from Trivium, Randy Blythe from Lamb of God, and Serj Tankian from System of a Down, among others.  It's all original music too which is great.  Heck, they could have DLC for the game and it's just new music you could play to.  That's replay value there lol

The actual rhythm part can be a decent challenge, different weapons have different rhythms, the sword gets a special faster slash ultimate after killing enough demons that requires you to hit the rhythm quicker and the other weapons have their own ultimates also.  Super legit game, definite get if you are into that run and gun, old school, Doom gameplay, but with a twist.

I'd also agree that Benedict Fox was alright, I'm not huge into all the metroidvania styled games, but could be neat.  I also thought Ravenlok could be cool.  Initially I was like what is this voxel character, Alice in Wornderland, styled thing was, but then it turns out to be an action character game, and could be kinda legit maybe.  I'm digging for stuff to like out of this show despite how much they showed.  Wolong could possibly be neat, as I thought it was another Nioh at first, but there's no gameplay, so I can't really care about it.  Kojima's game could be cool maybe, I adored Death Stranding, but I can't get excited for "A game with no description exists, please look forward to it" lol

Very awesome, I've always thought about trying to do shadowbox's with bead art, but wasn't sure how I wanted to set it up exactly, but I love how you have it with the game itself built into it and the whole series timeline worked in also.  Super good.

While I wouldn't say that was a bad showing (very well paced, didn't drag much), they showed a lot, but they had nothing for me, I don't think a single game excited me.  I've never had so many games shown off in one showing that had very little appeal.

Starfield is just okay.  Framerate they showed was pretty rough, gunplay looks really simple (Basically what Fallout was, which isn't good that they haven't improved much since Fallout 3 back in 2008).  Maybe it'll be good, I want to like it, but I'm not hyped for it right now.  Fallout at least had the retro tech vibe to it all, I always liked that vibe, so this game just being generic scifi stuff isn't selling me as much instantly.  It's at least seeming better than Outer Worlds to me.  I know I'm being harsh on it due to Fallout 76, for good reason, but I'm not quite there yet with the game.

The only thing I'm expecting primarily is a lot of stuff not releasing this year lol Like they have some big games coming with all their acquisitions, but the problem is that most of them are still deep in development and probably won't see a release date till next year or further.  Starfield was already moved into 2023.
