If you hold this box art up to a mirror, the world will end:

I honestly don't mind the PlayStation 2 Platinum look, but this just looks like it was destined for the bargain bin.  Come on Konami, is that really the 'best' you could do???

Having labels that say greatest hits and are ugly are one thing!  Having an entire case that is another color is worse imo.  The bright red PS3 greatest hits cases make me want to stain everything around me with my own matching blood (of course I'm kidding).  Seriously though, what goes through their head that says, "Hey, this is a great idea!  This will really make fans happy".  It's almost like they are trolling us.  I can handle game cartridges, like DOOM on SNES being a different color, but if I'm paying for a case, it better GD match my others ones lol.  This might be a topic for another thread, but I even get bothered that some of my PS2 cases are slightly blue and others are black.

They did a similar thing with all of the PAL Nintendo 64 game xoxes, every single game box art has a thick black boarder.  Just doesn't look as nice as NTSC designs.

The exclusive Amiibo deals in the US sound like they could more trouble than it was worth, especially if they aren't going to buckle down on purchase limits per customer.  Let's hope Wave 4 get some better treatment.

I don't really care about Marth's silly face, I still think he looks really good

Toon Link on the other hand really takes the cake

oh geez, I'm getting completely lost in all of this.  I hope someone else can step in for some help here because I've got nothing.

I remember my husband saying that he knew that would never happen to us, and that made him love me even more, especially after the two days we spent geeking out over all the games we'd scored.

The couple who games together stays together!

Aaawww, that's so sweet.  Perhaps one day I shall find someone  ;)

I like how these posts have taken a turn for the best, considering the original subject.  No at all, we've never been ashamed

Have you spoken with this new owner yourself, or have you just been informed through your previous landlord.  You could try speaking with this new owner face-to-face and let him/her know about your problem.  Keep your cool, put on your best clothes, don't come off as hostile, but don't suck up to them either, don't let this stranger brush you aside like this.  It might be there business, but it's also your lives in the balance.

The face-to-face part is important, let them know that you're not just a voice on the phone, you're not just a message passed on from a middle-man.  That you're are in-fact a real family of 4 whose lives are about to be turned upside down by their smug, heartless business decisions.  Make sure to make it clear what exactly they're doing to you and your family.

If by some chance that did work, even if it was only a temporary stay, it should at least give you that bit of slack to gather together some funds and patch things up.

This is a tricky situation you've got right here, but you shouldn't feel like this is your fault.  Unfortunately their are point in our lives when people around us will turn bad from greed, while they blindly ridicule real people around them.

As someone who is 19 unemployed and studying, still living with parents, I am probably one of the worst people to be offering advice in these forums.  I'll try my best to at least give a little advice to try and get you back on your feet.

Among all this, you do have someone out there who is willing to reach out in your time of need, maybe you should take up your Dads offer of a roof over your head, beggars can't be choosers (sorry if that sounded mean but...).  It sounds like you've been putting up with some pretty lame people recently, so surely you can put on a brave face and take a sleep on the couch (The sofa here in the UK).  Any flow of currency is something you need to cherish right now and I'm going to assume asking for any kind of raise from your boss is a no-go (unless you're on good terms maybe??).

This might be out of the question if it's too far, but if not, you could try walking to and from work, save on travel expenses to help stockpile your savings for a bit, even if it's going to house keeping for now.  A nice walk outside before work will help wake you up if you have any early shifts, and you can feel better about it knowing you're getting a bit of exercise on the side.

I'm sorry if this didn't help at all

I've decided that, with rare exception, I'm not buying these things.  If Nintendo wanted me to buy them, they'd have made more of them.  Then the Nintendo fans went ballistic and started paying absurd prices for them, which completely destroyed the market and made them impossible to find.  They basically fed the trolls/scalpers and now I can't get Little Mac.

And I'm one of the few people that wanted Little Mac because it was Little Mac.  Not because I was insanely trying to "catch 'em all."

Yep, I'm only really interested in my favourite characters out of the bunch, only 1 - 2 from each wave.  I've never really collected things before, these figures are meant to be played with and admired, not hoarded and preserved 'sealed in-box'.  Unfortunately that's the market that Nintendo have stepped into resulting in this Amiibo famish.

He's on par with the rest of the line, as far as I know the Shulk Amiibo is the only sort of figure/physical representation of him on the market.
After my friend pointed it out, I have to admit Shulk preview shots didn't look very good, mainly the face and hair looked a bit weird and was set up to be another derpy Marth situation.  But after I saw him from a slight different angle in a photo on eBay, I realised that it's just a bit of a perspective issue, looking kind of arkward from even a slightly different angle. I noticed a similar thing with Lucario.

I think sometimes it's more than just an issue of looking at Shulk from the wrong angle. :P

Yeah, that's what I meant... also it was only a matter of time before 'Shuk' was brought up

I looked up a bunch of PS2 games recently, but instead I discovered the long-running manga/anime series called 'Lupin III', which happens to have a single game released on the PS2 in Japan and North America.

Lupin the 3rd: Treasure of the Sorcerer King

While we're on the topic, why not also list our favorite download-only 3DS titles? (virtual console games don't count)
...

-Senran Kagura Burst 8) - It's a pretty decent fast-paced beat em up, though if you can't get past the... fanservice... I'd advise avoiding

We can get hold of a psychical copy here in the UK, PAL region.  The box art is, very revealing and the online purchase bonus that I didn't even know about??  ... Oh boy!

Though I am loving the 3DS still, now that I think of it I haven't played too many games as of now.  I'll give my input nonetheless

1. Fire Emblem: Awakening
2. Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure - The perfect example of a game that I wanted to be just a bit more, despite that it's a great ride
3. Legend of Zelda: Link between Worlds - A Zelda game where the puzzles are just right for me, yes!
4. Smash Bros. 3DS
5. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I own Majora's Mask 3D, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet, also interested in picking up Persona Q at some point

What Desocietas is saying is that regardless of whether the description is original or taken from an official site it is still incorrect.
Quote
The Description field should be notes about the games packaging variants/ pack ins/ collector's edition details. Or trivia about the games release, such as if it is a launch title, last title, a very limited release,  etc. This should not be filled with store descriptions describing the gameplay or hyping up the title.

In most cases the description field is left empty.  It is mainly reserved for variants and collector's edition packages.  Admittedly the field name is a bit confusing, but please do not just copy descriptions from other sites into the database.
Alright I get it, I'm not arguing on how you want the site to be operated, I've been a bad little boy.  But like I said, I thought I was helping and you're making it sound like I'm doing this without a care in the world.  I've grown to care about this site and the small but growing community you have, I'm trying to do what I can to provide for the site too, filling in gaps here and there if I can.

But when something that you thought was right is being thrown back in your face by the Admins themselves, it hurts inside and I don't feel like I'm being forgiven here...

I pretty much remember each item I added 'descriptions' to, so I could go back through each item if you'd like.
