Agreed.

I'm not at all into ANY kind of social media nor do I understand the compulsion that so very, very many members of modern society have to list and post the most trivial of things.

I dunno...maybe their just trying to self-validate themselves?

Maybe they all just have too much fucking time on their hands?

Then again, I suppose that they're the people who would never have any chance to find an audience irl for this trivial drivel - so, they try to take 'hostages' of the unlimited amount of anonymous online folks who will ...Again, in some way, give them that validation that they're so desperately and pathetically searching for.

Fuck if I know ::)

I put in an offer for that car I was talking about. Was told I'd need to wait until Monday ...and well, it's Monday, no call yet. Not going to lie, I'll be annoyed if they don't at least call me and let me know something, even if the answer is no. Don't leave me hanging like that! I just made a very large cash offer.

The difference is whether I am going to be forced to take an indefinite break from my game collecting habits, or not. The least they could do is get back to me.

I could start an entire new thread on this topic:  Assholes.  Nobody seems to give a crap anymore about meeting their obligations.  They won't even give you a lousy phone call to tell you one way or the other.

So true!

Put a rubber band around your wrist. Every time you think about randomly buying a game instead of waiting until the fall, pull that bastard back as far as you can and let it snap. The pain will remind you that no means no.

Or, I'll get an erection...

Lmao!

So, like, did the rules change recently? Are we supposed to tip a "barista" after they pour us a cup of coffee? Starbucks doesn't do that, but what about non-Starbucks places?

I'd say it depends on their 'job'.

If they're a Starbucks employee, making a normal hourly wage, no tip's required.

If, however, it's a 'waitstaff', making 1-2 dollars an hour plus tips that's serving your drink then, yes, they should be tipped.

When in doubt, ask about their job.

I waited tables for years and would guess that you'd offend no one by clarifying.

Which movie have you watched the most times?

A toss up between seven and a knight's tale. Oh and Wreck it Ralph.

Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope...from way back before it was even an "Episode" or "A New Hope" and it just said "Star Wars" at the opening crawl.  At one point, I could recite the entire movie line by line.  I probably still could.

Luke:  "Look, there's Gaffe sticks, Bantha tracks...I've just never heard of the sandpeople hitting anything this big before."

Ben:  "They didn't, but we were meant to think they did.  These tracks are side by side, sandpeople always ride single file to hide their numbers.  And these blast points, to accurate for sandpeople.  Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise."

Luke:  "But why would Imperial troops want to slaughter Jawas?" (looks over at Threepio and R2)  "If they traced the droids here then they may have learned who they sold them to and that would lead them back...home!" (darts off toward speeder)

Ben:  "No wait Luke!  It's too dangerous!"

Don'tcha' know any Jar Jar Binks quotes?   :o

October's my birthday month

SO,

there probably won't be anything coming out

But

October does seem to be the month for the most homicides and massacres...

...Go figure

For me, it's far and away Braveheart.

No matter how many times I've seen it, I'm always ready to watch it again every year or 2.

Dang. That's brutal. I heard that the game was really grindy, but that's insane.

I'm glad someone understands the struggle for trophy hunting and not being amply rewarded.

I just noticed your personal text under your avatar, and I approve of it!

Howzabout a translation on that?
It's " Level up!"

That's right.

While the most common word for level in Japanese is (funnily enough) is レベル, I was taught to write "up" like this: 上

But for the sake of being an RPG fan, I went with アップ.

This concludes our lesson for the day. I'd like to thank Lady K for pointing it out, dark for being inquisitive, and maximo for the assistance. Tomorrow, we'll discuss how to conjugate adjectives!

Participles or no lesson!
