It's definitely a shadow of it's former self. There used to be a huge one down state that had every CD I'd ever want. But now they moved into a smaller location and have way less stock than they used to. It's sad.

I wish it was still around, somewhere in driving distance. Just like video games, I prefer physical media format for my movies and CDs. And FYE used to be able to get you those hard to find bands that you can't get at Best Buy or Wal-Mart, and they were like in EVERY mall.

I'm more astonished that FYE is still in business, somewhere out there.

We had two practically right next to each other when I first moved down here about 6 years ago, but the one outside of the mall eventually closed up.  I mostly like FYE for their used stuff since they have a reasonable selection of it and can be good for finding movies since most other places are pretty shitty for finding movies like Best Buy.

Bought a couple cheap movies today for 50 cents each, Dr. Strange and Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman.

It's a crossover movie with the 2002 Ninja Turtles series and the original cartoon series, fighting together to take down both versions of Shredder.  It's some good fun as it has all the old cheesy humor and 4th wall breaking stuff of the 80's show alongside the more serious action of that 2002 era Turtles.

Ah, nah, I watched that one also and it's a good TMNT movie too.

Today I grabbed one of the new Nintendo toys being released.  I really wanted Link, but the only store that has them in right now only had Mario and Yoshi left.

To add to that, a gamer buddy hooked me up with the Link, the one I really wanted Also here's Mario in kind of a run/jump pose for size comparison.  Link looks tiny compared to everyone else in the line, especially Danky Kang and Bowser.

It was a music day today... went looking for Bat Out of Hell, ended up picking up these greatest hits collections instead. Prolly end up ordering the album I was looking for online...
