The part number would be ideal, but for the third one you should hold off on adding it until you can confirm the spine is the same as the other.

Could do with a name for the following 3 games.

I understand that Gamefaqs uses James Bond 007: Blood Stone as the name, but the art cover only says: Blood Stone: 007
James Bond does not feature anywhere in the title of the game, at least the PAL version I wanted to edit

I think it's unfair my suggestion was rejected

The community voted on using the common name and this is the most authorative source. If you can find a better source, we can see if we can replace GameFAQs as the common name source.

Gamefaqs have now changed the games name to Blood Stone: 007
So I have have sent in another edit. Hopefully it'll be accepted this time :)

Just wanted to give a heads up, I am editing https://vgcollect.com/item/190984:

Changing "Mode d'emploi" -> "Livret d'instruction" as that is what is written on the actual manual.

Going to ask a nit-picky question: for games that include cards, is there a reason why the set numbers are in the front rather than behind the card names (to be consistent with how we list items numbers for other included items)?

Also because of this, I do need some clarification for how we list manuals in the description as well.

GBA manuals intended for France tend to only use "Mode d'emploi" (sometimes they use "Instruction Booklet" if it's a multi-language manual and in other cases they just list it in multiple languages).

However I have found that ones intended for Canada have more and inconsistent ways of saying Game Manual.

Those include (but may not be limited to):
• Guide d'utilisation
• Livret d'instruction
• Livret d'instructions
• Manual d'instructions
• Manuel d'instructions
• Manuel d'utilisation
• Mode d'emploi

I have to ask then, going forward should I state exactly what is written on the front of the manual rather than stating that it is a manual in English? Or only in cases such as Canadian releases that include 2 separate manuals for 2 different languages? What about cases where they use multiple languages on the front of the manual?

Austin Mini Racing
https://vgcollect.com/item/56543

This doesn't seem to of actually been released and it seems likely that it was remade into mini desktop racing.

They are put in that way from the work done on here:
https://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,11699.0.html

When submitting checklists to TCDB they want the numbers in the front, so they are copypasted in that format into listings. The numbers can be at the end, it doesn't really matter.

You can say an game includes a manual, but it is preferred to use the actual text from it on the entry. Sometimes it is easy to verify a manaul is present by looking at pictures but not clear enough to know if it has a non-English name. Also many users just put "manual" in description anyways.

Just to clarify on the edits for the following listing as it looks a bit nutty: https://vgcollect.com/item/54094
A lot of the original info is incorrect (Rating, Picture). Barcode is of a UK version with a bbfc rating and a back item number of PBACKSEN07 (Which seems to be the only differentiator I can immediately see to separate it from another UK version). TLD is needed as a general European release exists.

In general, franken entries should be reported in this thread instead of trying to convert them yourself. Users attempting to convert entries should always be rejected.

Thanks for sorting that and I'll submit franken entries here from now on.

Just for some context on another edit - https://vgcollect.com/item/117707 , I'm removing the date provided as this is a re-release of the game from 2006.

https://vgcollect.com/item/56927 (Franken entry, not actual cover art+ no details) Probably worth merging with https://vgcollect.com/item/144731

It was not a franken entry. That type is one that has a mixture of info or someone had tried to convert. Not a no detail entry with a stock photo. It has been merged.

for information about one edit I do that was rejected (2 actually) :
https://vgcollect.com/item/221298

Incorrect Information. Please see the VGCollect Style Guide or visit the Forums to clear up any listing questions.
Admin comments: Perpetual Europe ltd. is the publisher, as indicated by the back box text information. Perpetual Europe ltd. has been added to the list of Publishers.

perpetual europe = perp games, and as I finished the game, it is writed in big in the end credit that it is published by perp games

so it is the same thing, and as you can see the logo on all of their releases, they use perp game as common name (and just like their website) instead of perpetual games

It is a complicated situation. Gamefaqs does show the publisher of the physical PS5 release to be Perp Games.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps5/368006-oxide-room-104/data
The back of the case does say specifically "Published by Perpetual-Europe" on the back. As it says on their website "Perp is the publishing arm of Perpetual Europe". There is a perp logo on the back cover of the game also.

Back image https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/cE4AAOSwLNNiz~--/s-l1600.jpg

With a situation like this, it could be valid to use Perp Games or Perpetual Europe as they are both correct.

I rejected your edit and am glad a conversation ensued. As we've clarified, the box back information states Published by Perpetual-Europe ltd. which is substantially different from Perp Games. For nearly every other entry field, the packaging itself is utilized to gather information aside from Release Date and Description (although the latter, rarely.) It is with this logic that I regularly do the same for Developer and Publisher fields, if possible. For most PlayStation games released in Europe, that information is clearly accessible, such as in this instance, where Perpetual-Europe ltd. is visibly present whereas Perp Games is only present in the game data itself.

Following edit was rejected
#23077, for attempting to change the incorrect name of "Need for Speed Carbon" to the correct "Need For Speed: Carbon". Yes, I'm aware that Gamefaqs doesn't use the ":" symbol in the game name, and that's the point, they're wrong. It should follow the same format as every other game in the series such as "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2", "Need For Speed: Underground", "Need For Speed: Most Wanted", e.t.c.

From what I've observed, most of the modern Need for Speed titles omit the the use of a colon for subtitles. Titles such as Need for Speed Carbon, Need for Speed Heat, and Need for Speed Payback are all stylized without the colon both on GameFAQs and on EA website pages. The latter is most easily viewed when typing in the name into a search engine.

I understand, but that creates an annoying styling double-standard that makes the list of games in our collection look inconsistent and messy.
