Fair enough, I mean after all, "meme" comes from the theorized "memetic", a unit of culture. If you're not a part of the culture in which a meme originates, the spread/mutated form can be confusing for an outsider to understand. Think about SomethingAwful, a lot of popular internet memes come from there, but a good number of their memes and catchphrases are theirs alone because most of the site is only visible to paid members.

Also, when I was fact-checking, in a brief moment, the wikipedia page was vandalized to have "Y U NO" in the first sentence. Perfect example of how far things can spread.

What the hell is with this dog being everywhere? What does it mean?

That's the doge/shibe meme! It started from a picture where the dog has this face and a hand is approaching it, and someone wrote on it something like "wow      so scare             plz no touch" and the like. So in short, you put the face of the dog on something and fill it with bad grammar, "wow", "such", "so", and "very".  I happen to like this meme a lot, I love shiba inus And it's pretty silly.

I don't find this kind of stuff funny either. A funny picture is one thing, the bad grammar is just dumb. If you find bad grammar to be funny, go hang out outside pretty much any Home Depot store in America and strike up a conversation. You'll be entertained for days.

I usually hate bad grammar too. Grammar-nazi kind of hater. I guess the dog makes it better since it's intended to be bad grammar, instead of just someone not knowing how to speak for real. I guess

I find the Doge meme hilarious for some reason.  I like a few of these on Facebook a day and send some to Insektmute on Twitter.  I even made a Wizardry doge meme a while back!
