Nice!  Glad you got that preorder in on time.

I'll just wait for the price to drop and bug you to buy it on Steam in the future.  The Gamestop employee was suggesting I keep my preorder with them (decided to go with GMG because it was $37.50 there instead of the retail $60) because of the exclusive pre-order dome.  I asked if the dome would be available after launch, and she said perhaps not because it was a GS-exclusive.

I declined anyway considering that it's only a dome and also thought that if I had it, would that mean I'd only be able to use it with other GS customers?  If so, no thanks 

Seems odd if it actually was GS-exclusive - why would Gearbox make DLC content and not try to sell it after launch?  And if they do sell it, it'd be $10 or less, and I'd still come out ahead money-wise.

Yeah I preordered it as soon as it was available back in May. I debated a few weeks ago about keeping it, but decided I really want it to keep it.

I doubt the Dome is going to be never available after launch. If anything, it'll be like Assassin's Creed II, where they had some bonus levels that were only available in the CE or through pre-order bonus. They released them eventually as DLC.

It makes no sense to keep an area of the game completely unavailable to folks who didn't preorder from a specific vendor. Especially in such a multiplayer heavy/friendly game.

Yeah, as nice as the girl working at GS was (I always have a soft spot for girls at game shops, as long as they're not super-girly and ignorant of the products they're trying to sell), I wasn't going to cough up another $25 just to get that dome (I have the Moxxie dome and have yet to play it) at launch.

I would've liked to get the retail box, but that's just the collector in me.  And there's too many other games out/coming out to be even thinking about DLC.

Dat Mechromancer, though... gotta get me a piece o' dat.

I have Moxxie's Underdome Riot and it's a pain in the ass. Completing the DLC achievements for it requires hours long play sessions to complete the challenges. And (unless something was screwed up on my end) if you leave after beating the small challenge and want to continue later on with the big challenge, you have to do the small challenge all over again. I'd love to fly through it with some other folks doing the Level 10 trick. But I don't feel like trying to arrange it, or get with folks on TrueAcheivements for it.
