Woo, finally got Hyperdimension Neptunia Producing Perfection in the mail! ;D EB Games was also having a 3 for $30 sale on used games, so I finally got around to getting Ni no Kuni, and got BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend as well as the Ghost Recon Anthology (all three for the PS3). No amazing deals or anything, but I managed to save $15 off the regular prices from the sale.

How is it?

It's interesting, I haven't played anything quite like it. I still haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet though, since I'm new to the Idol Producing genre. You can choose which goddess (and soon to be Idol) you want to be the producer for (I went with Vert for my first playthrough). There's a lot of reused music, backgrounds, etc. from Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk.2 & Victory, and the goddesses' designs are the ones used in HDN Victory. It's got a crapton of replayability with multiple endings for each goddess, and overall it's made a good first impression. :) It'll definitely give me my Neptunia fix until Re;Birth1 comes out.

Sweet! Fuck work, Im going to have admission fees to come see my room. :D

You know, with a little cleaner setup; a lot of our rooms could pass for museums.  I know I'd have plenty of interesting stuff to charge admission.

Is it the kind of museum where you're not allowed to touch anything, or the fun interactive kind?

Oh it's like the kid's museum.  The one where you get to touch and mash buttons.  This stuff was built to be played.

Those are the best. ;D I'd pay money to go to a museum like that.

I'm still trying to decide which games to pre-order right now. There are many that I know I will buy down the road, but which ones should I choose first? Amazon hasn't listed yet the SmMash Bros U bundle with the gamecube controller + adapter, I wonder if they will before their 30% off offer ends... :-\

Wait, I must have missed something - what 30% off offer?  ???

Amazon's been having a save up to 30% off deal during E3 for when you preorder 3 or more games. Future Shop/Best Buy has been having a sale like that as well for E3.

I found the info - the key piece you're leaving out is in Canada, eh?  :P

Canada only? ??? I never noticed. I just assumed it was for the US as well, since Canada's usually the one that's getting screwed over on prices for basically everything. :P Living in Canada can really suck sometimes. :(

In the US, BB changed up their Gamer's Club - members get 20% off of *every* new game they buy year-round.  And other deals stack with it, so they'll often offer a $10 Reward Zone cert as a preorder bonus (as they did on the 2 I preordered yesterday) that we'll get as well.  So $60 -20% = $48 - $10 back = $38.  If Amazon down here HAD been offering that deal, I would have only been interested for the games BB doesn't have that $10 bonus on anyway.  ;)

Ouch, rubbing salt in the wound eh? :P

That is one sexy handheld collection, I'm very envious. :) How exactly does one manage to get stuff like that for less than $20 each? Garage sales, flea markets, etc? The city I live in doesn't really have too much in the way of flea markets and other places to get older games really cheap. Most of the places I've found are retro game stores that overcharge for almost everything. Then again, maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

Unfortunately I'm a whole 200 coins from getting Platinum this year. :-\ It's really hard to get a lot of coins when you tend to only buy used. Lately, the rewards have been getting even more disappointing than usual as well. I really wish they'd reprint the Game & Watch Collections, or maybe even made new ones for the 3DS. That's pretty unlikely though.

Finding a complete copy of Earthbound on the SNES anywhere other than the internet, and for a reasonable price.

There are two, (cart only), at a shop I frequent for $200 a piece. I even asked if that was priced correctly. I thought it went for that with the box and such.
I know one place selling a complete copy for $550. It makes me sad.

What's even sadder is that it's not too far off from what they go for on eBay. :'(

The hard part about Mind Zero is that I'm trying to hold off on playing it until I travel. It's really good so far!

Is it really that good? I've been interested in it, but with all the good games releasing lately I didn't have the money to pick it up on launch day. What would you rate it out of 10? Just your personal opinion, no need to defend your rating. That is, if you don't mind.  :)

Oh my gosh Nintendo just blew me away again. I'm just sad that it was so short, but at least they have a few other press conferences today! I'm on my way to pre-order too many games. Can't wait to get my hands on these Amiibo figures, I'm a sucker for props and these are gonna be awesome! The squid paint thing game looked pretty fun too. And I'm more excited than ever for Hyrule Warriors and Smash Bros!
I agree, Nintendo's press conference was pretty awesome. :D It's nice to see that the Amiibo will be compatible with the WiiU and the 3DS. It's also really cool that we'll be able to use Miis in Super Smash Bros.

The Persona series isn't really all that niche, compared to the rest of the games in this thread anyways (though perhaps Persona combined with Etrian Odyssey is a bit more niche), but I didn't know where else to put this.

Wow, just wow. Such an awesome limited edition. This will run for $80, and of course in usual Atlus style, we'll get a first print run edition. The first print run costs $50 and comes with the tarot cards like the premium edition, and a fancy box. Only the premium edition gets a soundtrack unfortunately.  :-\

It's the same - they said it would play most Vita games in addition to allow you to stream PS4 games to a second TV in your house, play PS Now games, use video apps, etc.  Pretty cool.  :)

Woooooo Vita TV, yay. :D It'll be interesting to see how the release plays out, considering that it didn't do all that well in Japan. I figured we wouldn't even get the Vita TV over here. I'm not sure why they decided to change the name though.  ???
