Well, unless I feel it to be extremely overpriced, like ¥80,000 (around US$730,00) or so, any home console Sony launches is a day one pick for me!
On the other hand, unless they are release for less than ¥25,000 (US$230,00), I don't see myself buying anything made by Nintendo or Microsoft...

I just noticed how I didn't watch many new films this year... and of the few I've watched, there aren't many I've really enjoyed, so I'll say that The Irishman and The Two Popes are definitely the best ones, while the worst ones, in my opinion, have to be Avengers: Endgame (that I feel to be extremely flawed) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (which, I'm yet to see, but that is way too contaminated by the hate I feel towards The Last Jedi).

I haven't thought much about it, but taking a brief look in the list of games confirmed to be released in the near future, I'd say that the only ones that caught my attention were Streets of Rage 4 and the remake of Panzer Dragoon...

Well, even though we had many Famiclones at the time, the original NES or Famicom were really rare sights in Brazil in the late 80's and early 90's.

For us, the Master System was the absolute and undisputed king of that generation.

Indeed, the original NES was only officially released in the country when the SNES was already out, so I remember we used to refer to it as the "Nintendinho", which literally meant "Little or Tiny Nintendo", whereas the SNES would usually be called the "Super NES". (NES being always pronounced as a single world, as in "Loch Ness")

Favorite 2019 Release: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Least Favorite 2019 Release: Ace Combat 8: Skies Unknown (The Ace Combat series is my second favorite after Metal Gear, and yet, for me, this new entry had the least charismatic characters and the weekest story in the whole numbered series)

Favorite Game Played in 2019: Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka No Yasoukyoku for the Saturn (Even though this is a very flawed version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, this game continues being simply amazing)

Least Favorite Game Played in 2019: Minecraft: Playstation Vita Edition (I finally got to play Minecraft for the first time in my life and... I simply don't get it...)

Sleeper Hit of 2019: Shin Sakura Taisen (Welcome back, Sakura Wars!)

Favorite Gaming Moment in 2019: The return of so many great Sega-owned properties such as the release of Shenmue III and of Shin Sakura Taisen and the announcement of the remake of Panzer Dragoon. C'mon, Sega! Now I want a new Burning Rangers and an Alex Kidd!

Proudest Collection Accomplishment of 2019: Probably Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka No Yasoukyoku for the Saturn. I didn't have time to go hunting as much as I wanted this year, but I'm very happy to finally have it added it to my collection.

Back when I was a college student, I remember someone telling me that "you should never turn your hobby into a profession as, even in the best case scenario, you'll end up losing a hobby".

1) What console are you talking about? In my case, I have almost all of my games complete with manual and in their respective original box. Well, except for Super Famicom and Nintendo 64, but the ones to blame are the people who owned Nintendo games in the 90's, not me...

2) I can bet you that every collector on this website would love to have their games complete in boxes. It's not like we don't appreciate them, it's just that the previous owner (or, in some cases, the child version of ourselves or our parents back then) didn't care about keeping them as much as we all here do now...

I was wondering "where did I see this design before?"

So can this thing go on it’s side to fit under a TV stand?

Yes, it can.

Even if put sideways, I doesn't seem like it would fit under my TV rack (the PS3 barely does).
I guess they are expecting people to place it in the middle of their living room's coffee table like some do with Alexa.

Scorpio > Xbox One X
Project Natal > Kinect
Revolution > Wii
Dolphin > GameCube
Mars > 32X
Ultra 64 > Nintendo 64
Morpheus > PlayStation VR
Xenon > Xbox 360

How come the names given to the prototype video game consoles ALWAYS end up being much, much, MUCH better than what the companies end up naming their retail versions?

I don't think I will...
I don't see any store or even private collectors paying a price that I would consider worth for my whole PS4 collection.
And besides, I don't want to go through the trouble of having to buy everything again (even if for much cheaper) 5 or 10 years from now...

Man... even though I don't like his newer projects, he has direct some movies that I really enjoy such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and Batman, but I have to say that my favorite has to be Mars Attacks!. Man, how fun that movie was! You just don't see that kind of movie being made anymore...

For me, it's 007: Blood Stone
And the last one is ZombiU

I don't believe in digital games.

Living in Japan, I don't consider that the Saturn was a failure at all. Around here, it is just as easy to find games for it as it is for the Nintendo 64, for example (with the exception that the Saturn's library is much larger, has a lot more of variety and is, overall, much better than that of it's Nintendo counterpart).
So, I'd definitelly vote for the Dreamcast (even though, for me personally, it feels much more as a console belonging to the early 2000's than to the 90's...)
