Right, haven't been around in a while and haven't sold anything on here before but I'm looking to get rid of a bunch of things. I'm more than happy to sell/trade items that you need, but please keep in mind that any games are PAL and will not work on consoles outside of Europe. PM me for more details if you're interested in any specific items. I'm interested in trading for any games for consoles I collect for or memorabilia of any sort for both games and TV Shows.

Yeah, gotta agree with yah on the "see the credits = finished game" because some games are extremely long, difficult, have glitched achievements and so on.

I was looking at all my games yesterday and I thought to myself "Wow, I've played none of these." So, I decided to take action. I'm going to finish/complete every single game I own. On average I buy maybe 2 - 3 games per week, I have 700 games and I've completed six of them to what I would call completion. It'll give me something I do I suppose and I can keep you all updated if you're interested.

Take a look over my games, follow me or whatever and tell me which games will be easy/hard, give me some tips and advice for finishing all of these games because by the looks of it I'll need a lot of help. I'm not going to lie, I'm not the best at games, I'm average at games, not the best but certainly not the worst. So doing this will help increase my skill of multiple game genres and hopefully give you the courage to finish some harder games.

Here's how it's going to work:

FOR A GAME TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED AS COMPLETED:

- Finish the game
- Collect all collectables
- Collect all achievements (Xbox 360/Xbox One/Steam)
- Sport games such as Fifa/WWE - Manager Mode completed/Road to Wrestlemanai completed + most achievements
- If a game is impossibly bad/terrible, I will count completion as seeing the credits roll

I'll keep you updated on how it's going. Here's the list of games I've finished on a Google Docs: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1krQwdYB3bJPHUy54OwKNI-0GXWGXEtvxiewd0RjDPus/edit?usp=sharing

Feel free to add me on Steam/Xbox 360 to help me complete some games

Steam: Doc. Sarcastic
Xbox Live: Epic sn1pers

Wish me luck!

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: very ineficiant
« on: July 21, 2015, 05:22:45 pm »
ok i joined this site cause i thought it would be a great way to track my game collection. i use an app on my phone and was going to convert my list to the site.
then i saw the horrendous way it does it. it would be nice if there was options to set up standard search's.

don't always take me away from adding a game to the list. when i search a game put a thumbnail of it then the text beside it with a check box. this will allow me to add it and not be taken away from the main page.

have a deeper extended game list. i was trying to add assassins creed. not found. this game has been around for nearly 10 years.

ability to add by platform. allow me to check a box to search by platform by default. i have lots of xbox and ps3 games. and i not wish to scroll down and find it everytime. thats way more involved then it needs to be.

Wow, I haven't done one of these analytical approaches in a while, I'm not even going to bother with the niceties because it seems people have already done that, now, before I begin, I just want to put a disclaimer, I'm an awful person, but not to you lot, you're mostly a nice bunch who I respect individually, so...here we go.

Now, let's analyse the title; "very ineficiant", much like your spelling.

Your use of slang, while considerably flamboyant in a way it gives you a personality is applauded, your lack of capitalisation on the starting's of sentences, the letter "I" and your frustratingly poor incoherence just gives an overall "Oh God please no."

Standards search? It would be nice if you brought some context into the situation at hand.

I...I honestly couldn't make out the "English" babble that was produced in the next sentence or two, so I'll skip ahead a bit.

"and i not wish"...to use proper grammar? To use a system that works for pretty much everyone else on the site?

If you're going to complain, then use literate English, please, it makes the process a lot easier and it saves me being a bitch about the whole thing.

30+ degrees in England, Celsius, not Fahrenheit. Too hot to leave the house, we're all sat trembling with fear, drinking what we can of our tea, putting factor 9000 sun-cream on, having barbecues. Me? I'm inside, playing Serious Sam and Crash Bandicoot

A new Crash Bandicoot game anyone? Hell, I'd love a sequel to Crash Tag Team Racing. I too want to see some gameplay for Fallout 4, along with XCOM 2, Mass Effect 4 and Dark Souls 3.

Unrealistically wise, including a new Crash game, I wouldn't mind seeing a Waluigi game for the Wii U, maybe Bully 2/L.A. Noire 2 from Rockstar as well?

Hopefully Bethesda comes out with some more information on this, such as which consoles (presuming all and PC), what the plot will be about and the new features that will be there. Other than that, it's one of the very few games I'll be pre-ordering, ever.

I honestly don't mind the Skylanders series, if the figures for the previous games are compatible with the next instalment then you could probably save some money.

At least some of them look nice on a shelf next to your games, it's like that Disney Infinity game that never really caught on, silly rendition after unwanted game, it gets out of hand rather fast.

General / Achievements for games without achievements?
« on: May 29, 2015, 11:48:06 am »
Alright, hear me out on this one. I've played the Xbox 360 since the release date and since then I've been a go getter for achievements and rewards in games. I'm almost at 42,000 gamerscore, which might not sound like a lot, but the amount of fun I've had going after harder achievements is great, it makes you do things you wouldn't think of doing. I was reading a Kotaku article wherein the bloke who was writing explained how he plays games for achievements now. How some things in games are more tempting if you have a form of reward attached to it

This got me thinking, some people, me included, may enjoy other games if they had some form of achievement based system, like TrueAchievements but for older games like the original Xbox, Nintendo related systems and even Playstation, just something I thought I'd run by the community of VGCollect, see what you think and if it's popular then I'll assemble a team to play through some games and look for some ideas for achievements, feel free to notify me if you're interested.

I should expand on this idea, on Xbox 360, games have 1000G without DLC, it gives players something to aim for, examples being the Vidmaster achievements in Halo, completing unique objectives such as only using a specific weapon or item and so on. Here's an example of a game (Mario Kart Double Dash) that doesn't have achievements:

Mushroom Cup Victor - Finish in first place in the Mushroom Cup - 25G
Flower Cup Victor - Finish in first place in the Flower Cup - 25G
Star Cup Victor - Finish in first place in the Flower Cup - 25G
Special Cup Victor - Finish in first place in the Special Cup - 25G
50cc Victor - Finish in first place in all cups on 50cc - 50G
100cc Victor - Finish in first place in all cups on 100cc - 75G
150cc Victor - Finish in first place in all cups on 150cc - 75G
Mirror Mode Victor - Finish in first place in all cups on Mirror Mode - 100G
Pipe Cleaner - Defeat ten enemies in battle mode on Pipe Plaza - 25G
Boo! - Unlock King Boo - 10G
Petty Character - Unlock Petey the Piranha Plant - 10G
Racing King - Completed the game 100% - 100G
Toad in the hole - Unlock Toad - 10G
Toadette in the house! - Unlock Toadette - 10G
Bad luck - Go from first place to last place in one lap - 0G

Character specific achievements would be pretty neat too.

Of course, that isn't 1000G, it's just a few examples. Just something people may be interested in, worth a shot
Example: Mario Kart Double Dash Achievements

Message me somehow if you're interested in doing this, may as well give it a go.

« on: May 29, 2015, 05:47:18 am »
Sounds like a lot of fun, would depend on what the game is though, obviously not everyone has all the same games so finding a game that everyone has would be a bit tricky. Maybe for Xbox users have a gamerscore race and for Playstation users have a trophy hunt, for Nintendo gamers then the first person to finish the game wins maybe.

I adore this game dearly, the start up music is fantastic as well, which is here:
Probably the final good Crash game to my knowledge, the sequel to this game was cancelled too.

General / Worst Game(s) You've Ever Played?
« on: May 26, 2015, 05:34:32 am »
I've been playing through a lot of Xbox 360 and Xbox One games these past few weeks to buff up my Gamerscore, it's going pretty well but what I've noticed is that I've played a lot of drivel, so that got me to thinking, what's the worst game or games that you've ever had to play? Some that spring to mind for me:

- Conflict Denied Ops (Xbox 360)
A shooter that tries to be ARMA, Call of Duty, Call of Juarez, Spec Ops the Line and a third person shooter all at the same time, needless to say the result is a sloppy mess of a game that can barely be played.

- D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die (Xbox One)
A confusingly weird mess of a game that was put onto Games with Gold for a good reason, with unnecessary features all over the place and some of the most bloody monotonous missions I've ever played, such as making sure a carpet has no creases on it, I wish I was joking.

- Daikatana (Steam)
John Romero is my bitch now.

- Damnation (Steam)
One of the buggiest and blandest games I've ever played in my entire life, really awful with a fedora wielding main protagonist.

- Destiny (Xbox 360)
Bring on the hate, this game was bland, had a shoddy story and the only notably nice thing about the game was Peter Dinklage's performance, it's just another sub par MMO-esq game that fell into the pile of tat that'll get eaten up by World of Warcraft, along with The Elder Scrolls Online, Neverwinter (Which is actually pretty good) and Warframe.

- Halo 4 (Xbox 360)
343's first attempt at an original Halo game was, not a good one, chin up though lads, there's always Halo 5 to cock up later.

- Jumper: Griffin's Story (Xbox 360)
I was given this game for free, I see why I was given this game for free. Easy gamerscore at least...

- Peter Jacksons King Kong (Xbox 360)
I wouldn't have had a problem with this game if it had actually stuck to the source material. It did not, I don't remember the movie featuring any flying bats or burning of bushes every five seconds.

- The Raven, Legacy of a Master Thief (Xbox 360)
Poor voice acting, poor gameplay, poor controls, a poor game overall.

- Summer Athletics 2009 (Xbox 360)
Mash the A Button for 5G. It's like the half hour triathlon on GTA V, but for six hours without the fun and more repetitive strain injuries.

- Truck Racer (Steam)
*choking noises of anger*

- Truth or Lies (Xbox 360)
A barely functional THQ party game that uses the microphones that people use when playing Lips.

- Watch_Dogs (Xbox 360)
A very underwhelming game, was too hyped up for it's own good.

- World of Leaders (Steam)
Game has been out a good few months, less than 100,000 people have bought it, how do I know? The discount is still on until more than 100,000 people buy their game. A Koala was President, with Blackadder and Bernard Black running for presidency.

- WWE 2K15 (Xbox One)
I have such respect for 2K Games, they've brought us a lot of great games, including Borderlands and XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within, WWE 2K15 is a wrestling game without the wrestling, instead it has a number of minigames that is the "wrestling". This problem is not on the Xbox 360 version however.

So, there you go, list your worst games below so I feel accomplished!
