General / Re: Nintendo's supply and demand problem
« on: July 21, 2017, 07:05:50 pm »
I still wish that the NES mini's were not $400.00. I guess I should have jumped on the band wagon when they first came out. But I don't mind someone might have killed me for it anyway. I would like to give Nintendo my money but they currently don't sell anything I like so I guess life goes back to the video game graveyard :-\ or other vendors but someone complained. But just to set things straight I only have one a game or console. I do have some duplicates I need to shave off and give to someone else but there sports titles.

Everything is good in this the At games ColecoVision flashback console expect that the controller breaks easy and you need the wheel in order to play all the games on it. I think I used it a couple times and now both my controllers don't register correctly but I love the games on it. I am however highly unhappy with how fast my colecovision controller wheel twisted off from playing the games on it, :(  and on the Intellivision Flashback 1 the controller is a no better and extremely hard to operate. One thing I'd say about the CollecoVision flashback 1 is the controller is too cheap and needs to be stronger then that light plastic they used the wheel should be steel and rubber in my opinion to prevent the wheel from cracking >:(

General / Re: Your Favorite Console Hook Up Wires AV vs HDMI or RGB
« on: July 20, 2017, 04:45:28 am »
. Never noticed any heat coming off the HDMI cords when I use those though.

well the AV cord also gets hot but the SONY PS3 gets even hotter while using  HDMI input. I own a super slim

there are options on all PS3's to change the setting to use the AV instead of HDMI and make the text fit any type of television. just go to "Video Options" and explore "Game Options" and "System Options" panel to see all the different things you could do with a SONY PS3. I know how to hook my PS3 to using a HDMI and also AV properly. It's all about changing the default settings.

For example if you want to use AV instead of HDMI or other way around then you're gonna have to hold the PS3's power button down until it beeps 3 times in order to reset it to get a picture just like I said in the Facebook tutorial

General / Your Favorite Console Hook Up Wires AV vs HDMI or RGB
« on: July 19, 2017, 10:24:16 am »
well in short story I love the AV hook ups on consoles rather then HDMI because image quality does not matter with myself, it's the heat buildup that the HDMI ports produce that makes me wounder why so many people use them, and it is rareity and all the extra cord ramble jamble makes me wounder why RGB is also more popular then AV. I mean you can hook AV to pretty much anything at least the new AV cables you can hook them up to a sterio see tutorial on my facebook page

i HAVE A CRT BUT THAT'S JUST ME ::)

Wait, so IS the Atari Video game company making this/a new console? :o

this is news indeed. I'll just hope it is not another floppy console like the Jaguar, (their last attempt at making a console)

But I am fully aware that Atari is still a video game manufacturer. They have been making PC games for a while now Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 to be one of them

Keyboard.  8)

nothing wrong with the keyboard, I'll still play PC video games with a keyboard including DOOM other FPS's, (that is) offline. but when I used to play online on winning streaks agaist people who used to use I'm guessing a controller, or both a keyboard and mouse with or without an aimbot (not sure).

My right hand would cramp up on occasion and I would have to release the controls and shake off the pain. I mean I didn't even need to be drunk and I would still win playing doom and other ID games online with the Zandronum engine it was awsome  ;)

it is esay to use both keyboard and mouse but for most of the time I never touched the mouse just played (strict  keyboard)

I'm not usually into the one on one stuff in online multiplayer.  Fighting games are like the only exclusion from that, but even then, I've played alot of Injustice 2, but not really much multiplayer.  Local play with friends is fine though.  I think I get pretty tense about that stuff, but I'm working through it abit more with the shooter "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds", which is basically 1 vs 99 people in a free for all, and I haven't been so tense about a game in a long while.  It's fun, but man when it's down to like 10 people in a small area and you have to try to not get shot while looking for everyone, it's so intense.

Huh, well let me tell you, better hope none of them players that wins has a stuped aim bot, but then again I used to piss hackers off when I killed their stupid aimbot the old fashion way in

Skulltag / Zandronum back in my online PC playing days with a keyboard non the less

Hi i'm newer here and I love just updating the data on game pages! One thing I wish we could upload is pictures of the manuals and the inserts from games! I don't know if this has been requested before I did not see it. But I am so interested in this and it would give me more stuff to do!

well your in luck because this site lets you do that ;) But you see,it has to be a video game that does is not already in the database. OR you could create a collection and add your own photo of your own manual. and be able to view it with your brand new VG collect account you've just made :D

Also you can create a facebook page vary easy. by logging into Facebook, and clicking on the right hand side of the page, and clicking create page. then to upload  an image to facebook just make a status post and insert an image . (from a PC or flash drive or digital camera)

also you can advertise (your page) on Facebook for  a small fee. and

1: to post the image on VGcollect forum from online you need a pc or laptop, then you need a browser and right click the image, and copy image address then paste it to the edit post screen.

2: highlight the URL, and click on the small Mona Lisa painting, and click post. also but you won't need to do that unless you want to post an image off the internet to add it to this forum

I can't see why some of you posted on some of these threads, or I misunderstood what some of you meant by mentioning I don't like to compete/competition in video games.

I guess my main question is. what is it that some of you don't like about competing in video games? (against the computer mainly)? the first thing that went through my mind when I read someones post was, well they enjoy RPGS but cannot stand many other genres of video games. I suppose the Some RPGS are the easiest thing to play, but not all of them are a piece of cake to beat in my opinion.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a game that it is vary hard to stay alive in for me at least. I don't know who posted that they don't like competition in video games, maybe they meant was they do not like sports games? I know a lot of people don't like them. but I do

this is about either competing against the computer, or your family, or friend, or buddy online and such. genre does not matter in this thread  ;)

You would have to live in a swamp

unfortunate I do live in a swamp, this is not a joke the sub-pump under my basement floor constantly pumps out water, It is because of my home town and even my old high school is built on a swamp but as far as insects go no, just the norm flies that come through the screens and doorways once in a while. all my CD's are covered but some of my used ones are the ones I'm losing.

I not loseing any new CD's from disc rot only the older used ones possibly made in the early 1990's and 1980's
none of my new CD's and it's only a few out of like over 1,000 CD's and DVD'd and Blurays I own. MOST are fine. I mean I own at least 1,000 CD's in my home and only lost some of the used ones so far

edit) NO NOT A TON JUST SAID THAT BECAUSE IT PISSES ME OFF WHEN I LOSE THEM
I live in a vary damp cool basement and without climate control currently

I'm not religious anymore, haven't been for years, but one metal band I still like that I picked up when I was is Tourniquet.  My youth pastor showed them to me.  Nowadays, they are usually way too preachy, but the music is still top notch and they've had a number of good guest musicians on albums and they stretch all the way back to the early 90's with their albums which are generally about religion or against animal cruelty.  I'd recommend them.

This is one of the many songs I still like.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUmEu1LEIQI

I can see why. I mean a lot of  churches have SO many stupid made up rules that those church laders make up, it's ridiculous no wounder. By the way I only go to church on occasion because in my opinion none know how to properly run a church these days. that is why I created a Facebook page to try to instruct the church leaders out their to stop being so greedy and such.  I do read the bible on occasion and mostly the new testament, or also called the new convenient.

Rancid - Trouble Maker

EDIT:

It's almost an hour later, 12am right now, can't fall asleep, so I'm listening to some Boston.

YES i love the band called boston my favorite song from them is "

a man I'll never be"

I'm not sure. I'm a Christian, but music doesn't bother me too much. I don't think I've read anything anti-God from Deafheaven. I don't really keep tabs on other post-black metal bands. I like Bosse-de-Nage a lot, though. Oathbreaker is okay, but my ears eventually get tired of the female vocals.

I am also Christian in which is why I stick to hair metal or lighter metal, about as heavy as I go is Metallica, however I do not like their "Kill Em All" album logo. in which used to show a photo of an angel with an axe chopped into it's skull while sucking it's thumb. Anything that has anything to do with killing, or honoring servants of evil I do not like. but I do listen to "battle angels" by the band called Sanctuary" on occasion in which I believe is based off a real battle that took place between heaven and hell in which sadly angels were slaughtered in the process. I own modern christian believers if you want to take a look at the story God assigned me to write, you don't have to like the page or the story because after all it is not included in the bible but just give the page a chance ok? it's got some good Christian tips for all Christians in it.

@burningdoom? I need to know what you think about the ROCK 101 topic. Your were the creator of this topic so I'll let you decide and and admins or moderators both decide on whether to keep the following thread of merge with this thead. I ddin't see this topic in the off topic forum when I posted a new rock music topic. in which why I now think that the "What Are You Listening to Right Now?" thread should be a sticky thread for those who love music. I personally love all kinds of music but my favorite is light metal or also known as Hair Metal or pop metal, or something else.

So I would like to make 3 requests

1: make this topic sticky

2: merge rock 101 with this one
OR
keep both threads as is. I personally would not like the posts in that thread to be deleted nor do I want to make @burningdoom angry or the admins and moderators :-\

My Topic for easy combine access just in case

I was stupid not the check this read this topic first :(

I sent a PM to @burningdoom just in case it was the same as written above. I am not trying to disrespect him or her in any regard I was only trying to be fair and let decide just in case he or she forgets about this topic :-[
