No it doesn't. The OG ones are the best you'll ever find. You just need to rehab them. The boiling method gets rid of dirt pretty well, but it doesn't always bring it back to life.
Get a sewing needle and bend each of the little pins on the connector up just a little. It'll make better contact with the game and probably work the first time every time. I've done this on dozens of NES's. I've never had one that it didn't work on.
Clean it with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip or a old t-shirt wrapped around a credit card. It sounds weird, but I promise you it will work.
The after market 72pin's are stiffer and are rough on carts. But that's just my opinion.
